The Training Matrix

You can create a Training Matrix in Verde HR. A trainig matrix is a matrix style report that allows you to see at a glance which employees have completed what key training courses. To generate a Training Matrix Report, log on to the software. Self-Serve opens automatically in My Holidays; Click on Admin (see 1 on the screenshot below) in the Top Menu, then select Reports (see 2 on the screenshot below) from the side menu this will open a the Reports Page Select Training Matrix Report from the dropdown list in “Select Report” (see 3 on the screenshot below).

The Training Matrix Report is a CSV report which lists all employees on the Y axis and all mandatory courses on the X axis for those employees who have completed a mandatory course the finish date of their most recent course will be in the cell at the intersection of the X and the Y axis.

How to Add/Remove a Course to/from the Training Matrix

You can add training courses to the training matrix by either creating a new course and selecting Mandatory from the dropdown menu in the “Mandatory” box . You can edit courses by selecting them from existing Training Course select the category from the list (See the highlighted section in yellow in the screenshot below) and select the “Select” button (See 4 in the screenshot below). To add or remove from the Training Matrix You select  Mandatory  in the drop down menus in the “Mandatory”  box (See 5 in the screenshot below), this will set Mandatory to “ Yes” in the listing, which will mean it will be added to  the Training Matrix.  If you select  Not Mandatory  in the drop down menu  in the “Mandatory” box (See 5 in the screenshot below),  this will set Mandatory to  “No” in the listing, which will mean it will not be included in  the Training Matrix.

The system will not allow you to change the status of pre-existing system courses (e.g. COSHH Training) to Mandatory. Therefore if, for example, you wish to add COSHH Training to the training Matrix Report, you must create a new training Course E.G. COSHH Training (M)

How to Generate a Training Matrix Report

You can create an Training Matrix Report in Verde HR. To create a Training Matrix Report log on to the software. Self-Serve opens automatically in My Holidays; Click on Admin (see 1 on the screenshot below) in the Top Menu, then select Reports  (see 2 on the screenshot below) from the side menu this will open the reports page.

To run an Training Matrix Report follow the steps below:

  • Select Training Matrix Report from the dropdown list in Select Report (see 3 on the screenshot below)
  • Select the Date Range by specifying the Start Date in the Start Date Box and the End Date in the End Date Box (see 6 and 7 on the screenshot below)
You can input a date by either using the calendar or typing it in using the format dd/mm/yyyy.
  • If you want to select a particular employee to report on select that employee’s name from the drop down menu in the Report for Who Box (see 8 on the screenshot below)
to run a report for everyone in the date range specified leave the Repports to Who box blank.
The report defaults to Active Employees, but it can be set to Leavers,  or Pending, i.e. those who are about to join. You can select the category fron the drop down menu in  Employment Staus (see 9 on the screenshot below).
The report will ony produce a CSV report. N.B. it wont produce a PDF so ignore that option in the Report Output Box  (see 10 on the screenshot below).

To produce a report press the green Create button (see 11 on the screenshot below).
