Create Company Holidays

You can create a Company Holiday in Verde HR. To create a Company Holiday, log on to the software. Self-Serve opens automatically in My Holidays; Click on Admin (see 1 on the screenshot below) in the Top Menu, then select Time & Attendance  (see 2 on the screenshot below) from the side menu this will open a new menu below the top  menu, select Holiday (see 3 on the screenshot below) from that menu

Create Company Holidays

To create Company Holidays  go to Admin/Time&Attendance/Holiday as outlined above:

If you want too create Company wide holidays that are automatically deducted from each employee’s leave entitlement, e.g. Christmas Closedown, you create those holidays here.

In Holiday Name (see 4 on the screenshot below), give the Company Holiday a name, e.g. Chritmas Closedown
In Start Date and End Date (see 5 and 6 on the screenshot below), you select the start date and end date for that holidays e.g. 27th December to 4th January

In Duration, (see 7 on the screenshot below) You set the number of Working days for that holiday period, e.g. 3

If you have selected include Statutory Holidays in Holiday Admin you will not include  bank holidays or  non-working days in the total days to be deducted, e.g. if you normally work a 5 day week Monday to Friday you would not include any Saturdays or Sundays or any Bank Holidays that fell with in the holiday dates. Using the example above although the Company Chritmas shutdown starts on Monday 27th December and the employee returns to work on Tuesday 4th January which is a total of 8 days, as you won’t include Saturday or Sunday and the the Bank Holidays of 27, 28th December and 3rd January have already been deducted, the total number days to taken from the leave entitlemnent is 3.

Click on Save (see 8 on the screenshot below)

N.B If you do not click on save, the data will be lost, once you open another Company Holiday, clear the form or move to another page.
If you want to creat another Company Holiday You can clear the existing data from the form by selecting the yellow Clear button (see 10 on the screenshot below)

Edit or Amend a Company Holiday

From the Company Holiday List (see 9 on the screenshot below) select the Company Holiday you want to amend

Below the Company Holiday List is the Public Holiday List, this is the list of Bank Holidays that are scheduled to take place during the leave year. These will ne automatically imported unless you have selected exclude Public Ho;odays in Admin/Time and Attendance/Holiday Admin.

 

Press on Select (see 10 on the screenshot below) to open that record

You can amend the record by overwriting it or pressing on the yellow Clear button (see 11 on the screenshot below)

Click on Save (see 8 on the screenshot below)

N.B If you do not click on save, the data will be lost, once you open another Company Holiday, clear the form or move to another page.

[mkb-warningIf you have similar Company Holidays each year donot amend last year’s Company Holiday with this year’s dates, otherwise your historical holiday records will not be accurate .[/mkb-warning]

Delete a Company Holiday Record

From the The Company Holiday List (see 9 on the screenshot below) select the holiday record you want to delete

Press on Select (see 10 on the screenshot below) to open that record

Press the red Delete button (see 12 on the screenshot below)

When you delete a Company Holiday, you must click on Save to save your update  otherwise the record will be reinstated when you move to a new page or press clear to create a new record. Also if you delete an historical Company Holiday it will be lost from individual leave cards so holiday records will not be accurate
