Assign an Asset to an Employee

Using Verde HR you can assign assets from the Asset Register to an employee. You can use this feature along with the Asset Register to identifying which assets had been assigned to which employees. It also allows you to track the history of an asset, i.e., which employees have had custody of that asset and when.
You can assign an asset to an employee in the Employee section of Verde HR. To assign an asset to an employee, log on to the software. It will automatically open in Self-Serve on the My Holidays page; Click on Employee (see 1 on the screenshot below) in the Top Menu, then select Assets (see 2 on the screenshot below) from the side menu this will open a new menu below the top  menu, select Assets (see 3  on the screenshot below) from that menu.

How to Assign an Asset to an Employee

  • Select the Asset you are going to assign to the employee from the dropdown list in the Select Asset field (see 4 on the screenshot below),
  • Select the date the asset was assigned from the calendar in the  Date/Time Assigned  field (see 5 on the screenshot below)
  • Click on Save (see 6  on the screenshot below) to save the details of the asset assignment.
N.B If you do not click on save, the asset assignment will be lost, once you clear the form, or move to another page.
  • You can unassign an asset  from an employee by selecting the date the assets was unassigned from the calendar in the  Date/Time Returned field (see 7 on the screenshot below).
  • Click on Save (see 6  on the screenshot below) to save the details of the asset un-assignment.
N.B If you do not click on save, the asset un-assignment will be lost, and the asset will remain assigned once you clear the form, or move to another page.
  • To assign another asset to the employee, click on the Clear button (see 8 on the screenshot below) This will clear the data from the form and you can create another asset assignment as outlined above.
  • You can amend an assigned/unassigned date by selecting the asset  from the Asset Details list at the bottom of the screen, (see highlighted section 9 on the screenshot below) and pressing the Edit button (see section 10 on the screenshot below).
  • You can delete completely an assignment by selecting the asset  from the Asset Details list at the bottom of the screen, (see highlighted section 9 on the screenshot below) and pressing the Delete button (see section 11 on the screenshot below).
When you delete an asset assignment, you must click on Save to save your update  otherwise the asset will remain assigned when you move to a new page or press clear to create a new assignment.
