Delete an Employee Document

To delete an employee document, log on to the software. Self-Serve opens automatically in My Holidays; Click on Admin (see 1 on the screenshot below) in the Top Menu, then select Doc Management  (see 2 on the screenshot below) from the side menu this will open a new page, select Delete Files from the top menu (see 3 on the screenshot below) , this will open the “Delete Files” page
”Deleted” files are permanently hidden from view and cannot be accessed by anybody in the Company. This includes  managers, system administrators and  employees. However, if the deleted file was required for legal purposes, then it could be recovered from the server  by the app developers.

To delete a file  follow the steps below:

To minimise the risk of accidental loss of files, there is no facility for mass or multiple file deletion. You must delete files 1 at a time.

Select the employee who’s file you want to delete from the list created by selecting the down arrow in the  Document For Box  (See 4 in the screenshot below)

Select the folder that contains the document that  you want to delete from the list created by selecting the down arrow in the  Document Folder Box  (See 5 in the screenshot below).

If you don’t know what folder the document is in, select “All Document Types” at the bottom of the list.

Select the subfolder that contains the document that  you want to delete from the list created by selecting the down arrow in the  Sub Folder Box  (See 6 in the screenshot below).

If you don’t know what sub folder the document is in, the default for sub folders is “Not Selected”, so you can  ignore this box.

Click “Find” (See 7 in the screenshot below).

This will produce a list of documents headed “Select and Delete Documents “ that match your criteria (See 8 in the screenshot below).

To delete a file click on the Delete button to the left of the file (See 9 in the screenshot below)

N.B deleted documents cannot be restored.
When you delete a file the delete file form completely clears, and you must start again to delete another file.
