Pay Structures

Using this feature you can  create Pay Structures. Pay Structures can can cover a number of employees, but are assigned to several individual employees. E.G. if Forklift Truck drivers are paid £10 per hour and are paid monthly,  and all supervisors are paid £25,000 per annum and paid monthly, you could create 2 remuneration structures 1, say, FLT an hourly rate, paid monthly with a value of £10:00 the second could be Supervisor an annual salary, paid monthly  with a value of £25,000. To save having to create a new pay structure for every new Forklift Truck driver or Supervisor, you simply assign that pay structure to them.
You can create and define pay structures in the Admin section of Verde HR. To create a pay structure, log on to the software. It will automatically open in Self-Serve on the My Holidays page; Click on Admin (see 1 on the screenshot below) in the Top Menu, then select<strong> Organisation</strong>(see 2 on the screenshot below) from the side menu this will open a new menu below the top  menu, select Pay (see 3  on the screenshot below) from that menu.
Pay Structures are based on the pay practices in your company.

How to Create and Define Pay Structures

  • Type in the pay structure title of a particular job in the Name field (see 4 on the screenshot below),
  • Optional, you can type in a description of the pay structure (see 5 on the screenshot below) in the Description field.
  • Click on the Pay Type  field (see 6  on the screenshot below) and select  the pay type from the following options: Annual Salary, Monthly Salary, Fortnightly Pay, Weekly Pay, Hourly Pay, or Allowance.
  • N.B. an allowance is either a cash payment such as a car user allowance or a benefit in kind such as private health insurance.
  • Click on the Pay Frequency  field (see 7 on the screenshot below) and select the frequency of pay from the following options: quarterly, monthly weekly, fortnightly, or Ad hoc from the drop-down menu.
  • Type in the Value  of a particular pay structure in the Pay Value field (see 8 on the screenshot below)
The cash value of the pay type or the benefit. N.B. It is not what the employee will be paid e.g. a structure value of £12,000 with a pay type of annual salary with a frequency of monthly, the employee will be paid £1000 per month.
  • Click on Save (see 9  on the screenshot below) to save the data you entered for the pay  structure
N.B If you do not click on save, the the pay structure will be lost, once you clear the form to create another pay structure, or move to another page.
If a pay structure record has a value in Pay Value (see 8 on the screenshot below) but no value in Hourly Rate (see section 14 on the screenshot below) open the record and resave it.
  • To add more pay structures, click on the Clear button (see 10 on the screenshot below) This will clear the data from the form and you can create a new pay structure , as outlined above.
  • If you want to view or edit any of the job role entries, you will find them listed at the bottom of the screen, (see highlighted section11 on the screenshot below)
  • Click Select (see section 12 on the screenshot below) on the pay structure you would like to view or edit,. You can change the information by rewriting the the pay sructure as outlined above.
  • You can delete completely any pay structure by selecting the pay structure from the pay structure list at the bottom of the screen, (see highlighted section x on the screenshot below) and pressing the Delete button (see section 13 on the screenshot below).
When you delete a remuneration structure, you must click on Save to save your update  otherwise the record will be reinstated when you move to a new page or press clear to create a new record.
Hourly Rate (see section 14 on the screenshot below) is a system generated value for those companies that use timesheets or e-clocking,  it allows the system to create an hourly value from, weekly , monthly, quaretrly or annual values.
